MAGNA CARTA Awards Rules
1.Purpose of the Awards
The Magna Carta Awards are intended to recognise and reward the work of those individuals, institutions or entities that, through their activity, make a significant contribution to strengthening relations between the United Kingdom and Spain in the cultural, social, economic or academic fields.
2. Award Categories
Prizes are awarded in the following categories:
- Cultural Promotion Award: For his contribution to the exchange and mutual understanding of British and Spanish cultures.
- Innovation and Economy Award: For promoting economic cooperation or innovation between both countries.
- Educational and Academic Collaboration Award: For dedication to exchange and cooperation in the educational and academic fields.
- Concordia Lifetime Achievement Award: For a distinguished career promoting ties between the United Kingdom and Spain.
- Peter Hauschild Award for Achievement: For being an example of overcoming, tenacity and courage, I have in one culture as in another.
Note: The Organizing Committee reserves the right to create new categories or declare any category void if the requirements regarding quality or number of applications are not met.
3. Candidate Requirements
- Both natural persons and legal entities may be candidates.
- The candidate must have made a significant contribution to strengthening relations between the United Kingdom and Spain in one of the areas indicated.

- No candidate may be involved in a judicial procedure.
4. Submission of Applications
- Applications must be submitted using a form available on the Concordia Awards website or by sending the necessary documents to the designated email address.
- Required documentation:
- Completed registration form.
- Explanatory memorandum justifying the merit of the candidacy (maximum of 2,000 words).
- Curriculum Vitae or profile of the entity.
- Other documents or materials (articles, videos, references) supporting the application, if desired.
5. Evaluation Committee
- The Evaluation Committee will be composed of members of the Magna Carta Committee who wish to be part of the Evaluation Committee and by possible prestigious personalities in the cultural, academic, economic and social spheres of both countries, as well as representatives of the organizing entity.
- The members of the Evaluation Committee will perform their duties in an impartial and objective manner.
- The Evaluation Committee may request additional information about the candidates if it deems it necessary.
6. Assessment Criteria
- Impact: Scope and depth of the impact of the candidate’s activity in promoting relations between the United Kingdom and Spain.
- Innovation: Innovative or pioneering nature of the activities carried out.
- Sustainability: Continuity and sustainability of actions over time.
- Commitment and dedication: Level of commitment demonstrated in the projects or activities developed.
7. Premios
- Each winner will receive a documentary award and a certificate of recognition.
- In your case, in future initiatives, a financial endowment may be granted to continue with your projects or promote new initiatives.
8. Awards
- Awards ceremony , at a date and place to be announced in advance.
- The winners will be contacted in advance by the Organizing Committee to coordinate their attendance at the award ceremony.
9. Acceptance of the Rules
- Participation in the Concordia Awards implies full acceptance of these rules.
- Any situation not covered by these rules will be resolved by the Organizing Committee, whose decision will be final.
10. Data Protection
The personal data and materials submitted in the application will be treated in accordance with current data protection legislation and will not be used for other purposes without the authorization of the interested party.
